Why do some cheaper test kits include a green top chlorine neutralizer for the PH level test but my expensive Taylor full kit does not include this bottle or require in the PH test procedure. thanks

Why do some cheaper test kits include a green top chlorine neutralizer for the PH level test but my expensive Taylor full kit does not include this bottle or require in the PH test procedure.

The Taylor reagent contains a chlorine neutralizer that allows it to work accurately up to 10ppm FC.

You can apply a drop of thiosulphate if ph between 10-15 for a more accurate reading. I usually wait until the FC drops below 10 and test. No hurry for a few days.
