Everything you "need" comes with the kits we recommend. But, just like a car there are "options" that make testing easier.

Most of us will say a to get a TF100 test kit. If you are eradicating algae yo will want the XL option. That will give you what you need while you are clearing the pool, and probably enough reagents for a couple of years normal use.

The only other real option for a test kit is a Taylor K-2006. Be careful comparing prices because the K-2006 comes in sizes, designated by a letter. The basic K-2006 has .75oz bottles. You need to get the K-2006-C to get the larger bottles that you want. Even then it is a little short on the reagent & powder for the FAS/DPD test.

For "options" I also have the SpeedStir and Sample Sizer. They speed testing and accuracy.

Do I need any bottles, mixing tubes, viewing tube, cylinders, etc. Or does that come with the kit? I am definitely getting the Tf 100, just didn't know if i need those additional items....i am clueless right now! LOL

Just to add, my pool is still under construction so technically the pool people are supposed to be keeping my pool water clear until they finish the rest of my pool. Getting them to come out as like pulling hairs! We just have a few final touches that need to be made and our construction will be finished.

If you order the TF-100, as others said, everything you need to test your water for:

FC
CC
CH
PH
TA

Comes in the kit. You would need to order additional test OPTIONALLY if you wanted to test for salt or borates.

Other than what Richard said, if you are looking for anything else to add to your order for the test kit, may I suggest the speedstir.
That should be all you need.
