Temperature change

Anyone have an idea why the temperature calibration would change on a Autopilot digital SWG? It is reading at least two degrees warmer than the actual water temp. My calculations are based on using two other thermometers to test the water. This just started in the last couple days.

I appreciate that, but my questions really is, how does it get out of calibration to start with?

Normal aging of the temperature sensor. It shifts until it fails.
