Taylor K-2006 test kit With Sodium Chloride Salt water test

Hello and welcome to TFP! That is one of the recommended test kits. The only other thing we often say is to look for the K-2006"C" (commercial size) which comes with larger reagent bottles to last longer. But you can always get more reagents later. The FAS-DPD (powder & drops) is the most critical right now. Good job. Nice to have you with us.

I love my Taylor testkit, you can see the differences in test kits looking at this chart

When you 1st get started you will probably test FC many times a week (if not daily) and even more if you have a problem such as algae so 25 tests could go pretty quick.

I bought the 2006C and still used up most of my 70 tests this summer trying to learn how to best set my new SWCG. So like what was already said, it's easy to get reagents and you may want to look of tftestkits or amazon to order some more, but the kit itself is a great start.

Hello everyone,
Just signed up to TFP today and I had just purchased a Taylor K-2006 complete (FAS-DPD chlorine) test kit from Ebay. Was that a mistake?

Hello and Welcome to TFP!
You did yourself a great service by getting one of the recommend test kits. Great job.
When you get the kit, look at the bottles and check the expiration dates. In my signature there is a link to the extended test kit directions. The link will provide some additional info and some tips/trick for testing.

Feel free to post up your results and ask any questions you may have about testing or what to do based on the results.
