Tapping into a bonding wire

My pool heater is not bonded. I was going to bond it to the pool pump but the pump bonding lug is being used.
Can is use a copper split bolt to attach copper wire to the wire that's attached to my pool pump lug?

Also the existing bonding wires have turned green.
Should I scrape off the green where I plan to attach the split nut?

Lightly sand with fine sandpaper.
