Taking over pool chemistry.New to tfp.

Just let my pool chemical company go.
I have a Taylor pool testing kit.
My chlorine has been very high for 7 days.
I wonder if I am doing something wrong.
They had shocked it for algae problems.
18000 gal pebble deck pool partial shade.
Had been using tablets, now I’ll use 12%
Liquid chlorine by pool essentials.

Welcome. Do you know what model number of Taylor test kit you have?

Also what is the chlorine reading? "High" may not be high especially if you have been using tablets and have high CYA which buffers chlorine.
