I have a Hayward super pump. When opening the pool this year my swivel nut broke in half and is stuck in the back of the housing. I’ve tried grabbing a small piece and pulling it out with pliers, no luck. Any advice?
How tight is it? Would a magnet have enough pull? How about some type of an angled pick? Would you be able to drill a hole in it to use an extractor bit? How about a wooden dowel run through the front hole with hot glue on the end? Or two part epoxy on the end of a bolt? How about gravity with a little bit of help...disconnect the pump from the plumbing and tap the front lightly on the ground?
Without seeing the damaged part of the nut, I'm just throwing some ideas out. Maybe they'll help.
