I’m new to the site. I’ve had an above ground pool 18x33x52 pool for 9 years now. We have used Pristine Blue the whole time. This year I’ve developed a stain on the vinyl liner on the floor surface. I’ve tried different products to remove the stain. I believe it’s stained on the underside of the liner. I’m thinking about converting to chlorine. Anyone have a process in order to do this? Thanks

Pristine Blue is copper sulfate pentahydrate. What you likely have is copper staining. The only way to remove copper from the water is draining it. The only way to get rid of copper stains on vinyl is replacing the liner.

I suggest you take your pool water to a pool store and get it tested for copper and see how bad it is.

How much do you drain the pool every winter?
