Like the title says, I'm trying to switch away from the old timer, the motor's broken and I'm tired of having to turn it on manually. I have a 1.65 HP motor, a heater, and an in-pool light.

Important note, I don't know the exact model that the old timer is, so if anyone knows if it's 120v or 240v, that would be critical information.

The heaters wires are the ones coming in from the left side, and go straight back down, so if i'm not mistaken it's not controller by the T104M? And the wires for the pool light and a secondary on/off switch that I think controls power to the heater come through the bottom or back, not sure, so the skinny red/blue wires go from heater -> switches behind the timer box, and the bottom left knockouts have wires coming in for that in-pool light as well. I'm not 100% sure about any of this, so take it with a grain of salt.

Either way, after reading up on it, i'm pretty sure I can just transfer my wiring from

1 to COM1
2 to NO1
3 to COM2
and
4 to NO2

and then I just

Jumper COM1 to AC input L1
and
Jumper COM2 to N/L2?

I'm just looking for confirmation, or clarification, because I truly do not understand anything about electricity, I'm a software through-and-through kind of guy

I would appreciate any form of help I could get, and thanks in advance!

I'm also adding a full picture if that helps you see things a bit better:

Yeah, you sort of got it.

The devil is in the details.

Don't put more than 2 wires under one screw.

Make sure the grounds are all in place.

Wire the SURAIELEC and post pictures of what you did for review.

Hi! Thanks for the help! I took one more look at the unit and I have a wg1573-5 208-277 VAC, 60 Hz Motor so i'm pretty sure that my wiring is 240V. And there's a problem, in that line 1 and line 3 already have 2 wires under the screw for the Intermatic, and with the jumper that makes 3 when I move then to the SURAIELEC, right? Is that disastrous?

I'll be sure to post pictures when I review everything, I'd rather not destroy all my wiring!

You need to pigtail the three wires together with a pigtail wire using wire nuts or WAGO connector and connect the pig tail to the screw.

I know what none of those words mean haha so I'm gonna do some research and try and figure that out. Do you by chance know where i put the ground green wire from the T104 to the SURAIELEC?

By the way, thanks for helping. I couldn't imagine getting this installed without some assistance, and you've been more than patient with me!

Show actual pictures of the SURAIELEC? you have.
Those jumpers aren’t screwed in, by the way, just mocking them up for myself.

Also, in my original picture, there's a thin red and white wire, that I'm not sure what to do with? Do I cut it to take the old Intermatic Box out to put the SURAIELEC into? How do I put them back together? I'm buying wire nuts and 12 AWG THHN wire right now, so i'll get back to this once I have that done.

I think I ground it to the bolt in the box? Do I just move the ground from the T104 to that bolt? Do I have to ground the pigtails? Thanks!!
