SWG too small

I have a Hayward T3 for my 18,000-gallon pool. I moved into the house in 2023, and the salt cell, which was installed with the pool, was added in August 2021.
The SWG is struggling to keep up with the summer heat in North Carolina. I frequently need to use the "super chlorinate" function to maintain my free chlorine levels at 6 ppm.
Do you have any suggestions for alternatives besides replacing the cell? When can I expect the cell to reach the end of its life?
Additionally, why might the pool installer have chosen a SWG that seems too small for the pool?

Maximum the T-3 cell will give you is 3.5ppm/day if run at 100% for 24 hours.

At that rate it may last up to 364 days.

Same reason I fought my pool for years, not knowing the filter was way too small for it. It saves them money......or they know nothing about pool building....which is a scary thought....

I believe, @ajw22 can confirm, if you are on Release 4.0.1, the Omni Logic can handle a TCELLS340 which creates 1.45lb/day. T-3 makes .5lb per day.

It would eliminate your problem...
Yup, the next cell should be a T-15 size.
