I'm installing a saltron reliant. Do I need to hook this to the pump timer? It came prewired with a 115v plug. If so, should I run an regular outlet from my timer and plug it in? My pump is going to be a separate twist lock outlet.

Yes, your pump and SWG should be connected so that the SWG cannot run without the pump on. Is this an above ground pool? Running an outlet from the timer sounds like a good idea to me but hopefully someone familiar with electric codes will chime in.
