SWG shutoff temperature

Hello, it is my understanding that SWG (Jandy PLC1400) systems stop producing chlorine at around 53 degrees. Does the chlorine producing percentage need to be dropped to 0% when this happens? Is there any harm leaving the percentage set at current level (29%) through Fall/Winter.

When it shuts-off due to low water temps, it won't do anything. You might see a fault or some error notification. Leaving it at the last % output won't hurt. But generally when the water gets that cold, most of us just turn off the SWG and transition to liquid chlorine.

Thank you. I'll keep an eye on chlorine production as the average temp continues to drop and transition to liquid chlorine when necessary.
