I'm in Essex county. In my opinion, the competition in our parts is rather thin. So far I have an impression that pool service companies (particularly my current) like to sell the equipment to customers themselves, with a large mark-up of course, rather than simply supplying labor, as ordinary plumbers do. Several times I bought things on ebay/amazon and had them install it, and they got seriously ****** off with me. I'm looking for someone with a friendlier customer interface.
That is a different issue. Pool service workers in our area need to make a living with a 6 month season. Do you think anyone can make a living in Essex County specializing in SWG installs?
No special skills are required to install a SWG. Many homeowners do it. Takes some PVC work and electrical wiring. See if you can find a plumber or handyman who wants to do it if you can’t.
Your pool company is nicer then mine who just refuses to install equipment not bought through them.
