SWG indoor Spa - CYA Level

So I read this and I see recommended CYA level for outdoor pool is 70-80
Same for indoor spa?

No, for an indoor pool or spa you just need 20-30 ppm of CYA to buffer chlorine harshness, not to protect the chlorine from UV.

Saw that for indoor pools. Same with SWG?

SWG is just another chlorine source. Does not matter where you get your chlorine from for the CYA level of an indoor pool or spa. Same level for the same reason.

After skimming through this post I got the feeling that for SWG's the CYA should be higher?

Can you provide specifics where your feeling comes from?

CYA does two functions - buffers harshness of chlorine and protects chlorine from sun UV. Indoor water does not get UV.

SWG generate small amounts of CL over long periods of time. Outdoors a SWG is most efficient when you protect the CL being generated from the suns UV using higher levels of CYA. With an indoor pool or spa there is not that requirement.
