I read that you can replace the Aqua-Rite Thermistor AS 32 2R025.
After watching some videos it looks a little complicated with soldering.

Anything I should try before replacing the Thermistor?

Not sure. I bought the house in 2020 and it was our installed.
It might help if you could post some pics of the system, cell, and any labels you can find. The average cell life is probably around 5 years give or take. Yours may be getting to that age where you may start seeing more & more symptoms of premature failure approaching - maybe. Each unit is a bit different.

I suspect more replies will follow soon specific to your thermistor question.

My thermistor cracks open when it's bad. Later models of the board, maybe 2020 is in that "later" family, no longer have the thermistor so you might not even have one. If you have one it's a dark grey disk standing vertically off the board in the top right corner.

In 2021, you got a generic cell.

Is this the same cell?

What are the first seven characters of the cell and box serial numbers?

What is the actual salinity and how are you measuring it?

Box 5a0308-1015485
Cell 16574040521r

The box is from 2003.

The cell is generic.

Did you get a warranty on the cell?

If the voltage stays good, then the cell is probably dead.

If the voltage drops out, then the thermistor is probably bad.

Sorry, so the salt cell is only a couple of years old. But it was from the guy in Florida who rebuilds 2024-07-24 08.24.16-min.jpgthem. First one I got I had issues. He sent me the current one I'm using. Here is a picture of the SWG... Ill grab some info off my salt cell asap. (When I get home)

I love that you know more about my pool than I do! I'll check the voltage asap!

The box is from August 2003.

The Circuit board board was replaced after August 20 2014.

Probably a bad cell if the voltage is good.
