Over the winter, the return jet plug on my agp leaked, and I lost probably about 1,000-1,500 gal of water at 3,600 ppm salt. This flowed downhill toward a tree, which is now looking a bit sad: yellow leaves relative to the others of the same species and age.

I realize this is more a tree question than pool question, but I suspect I’m not the first this has happened to… any ideas how to effectively remove salt from the soil? I know I can Google it, but I’m hoping someone has actually spoken to or is an expert on the subject.

The solution to pollution is dilution.
That is absolutely true, but if the tree is already absorbing that salt than it becomes entirely a tree question. I remember my grandfather saying salt on an open tree wound could kill a tree… not sure how that compares to socking the ground with saltwater.
