Yesterday I noticed that the Electrolytic Plates on our barely-broken-in Intex ECO7110 were all caked up.

This unit has been in service for under 15 hours total.

Multiple salt tests show it at 3240.

CH shows around 50 but I have the TF-100 kit arriving today and will retest.

I soaked the plates in vinegar which cleaned them up but I'm sure something isn't right as it shouldn't build up that fast...should it?

Unit was showing high salt but as of today it's working again.....I don't think this is related to the build up.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Be sure to calculate your CSI. Keep above -0.3 to ensure your SWCG does not scale up.

It does help to have a SWCG that reverses polarity automatically to keep itself clean. Not sure if that is a feature of that SWCG.

Take care.
