Sump pump for partial drainage/maint - but what specs to double as water vs wildfire?

You don't have to run it at full throttle...you can realize less by running at idle or other speed.

For $83 i'd want This pump for normal operation. The big one will be a PITA to use for regular maintenance. My pump, extention cord, flat discharge hose and cover removal tool all fit in a 5 gallon bucket to walk out there and it's pretty painless each time. I donated a specific bucket to it this year so it's always ready to go.

I’d think that if a fire is close enough to need 164 gpm, you are risking your life by being there even if power was still available to run the pump.

You’d be better off wetting down the roof and the surrounding area ahead of time with a regular hose and then evacuate. Even setting up a sprinkler that could keep the roof wet would be a more reasonable plan if the power was still on for the pump.
