Good morning!

We completed setting up our pool yesterday, and when I ran my pump for the first time, it began to leak at the bottom of the motor housing. In addition to the pump, I’ve hooked up an Intex Pool fountain and an Intex skimmer. Both are working fine.

I’ve read I can open the motor housing and check the o-ring and either replace it, grease it, or reposition it. Is that correct?

Could I do this myself? Any other suggestions?

Thanks!
AJ

Welcome to TFP! There should not be any water leaking from the pump/motor area itself unless it's from one of the hose connections. Looking at the manual HERE, I see no mention of taking the pump assembly apart. However you might check on YouTube to see if any other users posted a video. Perhaps a fellow TFP member will post back here with their experience.
