Noobie here...
Since having to do a 2/3 partial refill for having high CYA, I feel like things are going pretty well. I have this site to thank for that. I'm wondering what things, if any, I should be tinkering with at this point? Or should I just leave well enough alone? Here's my most current readings:
FC = 4.6
CC = 0
PH = 7.8
TA = 150 (measured @ the 10 ML sample)
CH = 225 (measured @ 10ML sample)
CYA = 70
Salt = 3100
Temp = 85
The two items I'm somewhat concerned about are the TA, which is high from my fill water, and since I have a Gunite pool I'm wondering if my CH needs to be higher? Typically I haad my SWG dialed in to have my FC in the 7-8 range since I assumed that running a little high is better than being low, but we've had a number of clear sunny days in a row, so this the first time I've seen it below 6.
I'm also going through a reasonable amount of Muriatic acid (3/4 of a gallon of 14.5%) each week to keep the Ph in range, and since we're only here at the house with the pool on the weekends it's pretty much always high (8.0-8.2) when we arrive. So checking and lowering it is pretty much the first thing I've been doing when we arrive. I also lower it again right before we leave. Ideally I'd like to have more stable PH, but I'm not sure that's possible. I'm wondering if it might be worth investing in some PH automation (i.e. a Stenner pump), so I'd be interested in hearing any suggestions on that front of whether it's a good idea, bad idea, etc.
As always, I appreciate everyone's help
