We bought a house with a 2 year old above ground pool. Originally, the pump seemed to be working, but we realized the return jet was either extremely soft or not returning at all. We keep turning it off and back on and it foxes the issue for a little but then stops again. At this point it is not a clogging issue in the pipes or baskets. I also noticed that the little door at the skimmer sometimes sits slightly above water level or closes on its own with everything running even though the water level is where it should be. We really need to get our water corrected with all the chemicals we got, but I think this is keeping the process from happening. Any advice? It’s a Hayward pump
