Substitute for Expansion Gap Filler

I am tired of redoing my expansion gap that runs around the perimeter of my pool.

I came across this and was wondering if this would be a better alternative to the goopy stuff.

It's so stupid and obviously fake because the product won't work in random driveway cracks.

Driveway cracks or cracks in any concrete will be random, jagged and not uniform.

The product will only work in long uniform expansion joints.
