Subcontracting my pool deck

Getting bids to put in a pool in Florids and it seems like they really markup the deck installation. I was wanting large format porcelain pavers but they want like $25 a square foot….about $20 of that is labor based on porcelain paver costs at Floor and Decor. It seems I could bid that out and maybe have the labor done for $15/sqft?

Maybe have the pool company put in the pool coping and the screen enclosure but then I get different bids for putting down pavers. Perhaps even have them just pour the enclosure footer and I bid out the enclosure as well?

Am I missing something or could I just have it all prepped and ready for a base and pavers and perhaps the enclosure?

Maybe it negates some pool warranties if I sub the pool deck?

You don't know unless you get several quotes. I wouldn't blink to take over any extras like a deck / gazebo/ etc with my own people.

If it's part of the PBs standard package, and they need XXX total profit, they might just raise the costs elsewhere.

But you can't know until you ask. :)
