TA 120

PH 7.5
CYA 60
Borate 40ish PPM
From everything I've read here, I drop the PH way down with acid and bring it back up by aerating the water.
Our pool was finished in October and the PH has been very steady at 7.7 and doesn't change much. Problem is that TA crept up to 120 this winter and spring, and I need to get it down. I used PoolMath and calculated the acid to get it down to 7.3. I used a brand new bottle of real muriatic acid from Home Depot. I add the acid and... it dropped .1 to 7.6, and TA is still at 120. So, I use the app again and again, it dropped .1 and TA still stuck at 120. I tested all my reagents with standard solutions and they are good; I just got them last fall. The testing method is there in the kit, and I follow it to the letter. The pressure gauge on the main filter shows clean. PoolMath has been right on the mark with every other thing I'v calculated with it. I'm stumped.
