This is simple and perhaps somewhat obvious. I need to dose 3/4-gallon of 10% chlorine bleach per day and measuring that out evenly every day is tedious. I alternate between a full gallon and 1/2-gallon. But how do you remember which to dose today? You need a spot to save two jugs.
Day 1) No jugs in spot. Dose a full gallon and save the empty jug in the spot.
Day 2) An empty jug in spot. Dose a half gallon and add the 1/2-empty jug in the spot.
Day 3) An empty and a 1/2 full jug in spot. Dose a full gallon and discard the two empty jugs.
Day 4) A 1/2-full bottle in spot. Dose the 1/2-full bottle and discard.
You are back to Day 1! Day 1 is also a good day to test your FC. So, two reminders have been provided here.
