I bought a K2006 (not the C version) for testing this year, since the C version is basically impossible to find up here in Canada. Since then I have bought the Speed Stir with vial, a few bottles of larger 2 oz reagents, the SampleSizer, etc. Basically all the testing supplies don't fit in the box anymore, and when I replace my reagents I will buy the 2oz bottles so even less room soon.

My questions is does anyone else use a different storage/transport box to store all their stuff? I was thinking of grabbing a Pelican Case or something similar, but that seems excessive for what I need.

Best deal on the interweb...

For me it's showing $14.74 with free Prime shipping. Not sure what it's showing in Canada.
$40 CAD for me. Or I get it from the US site and pay $15 shipping. So $30 USD, which equals 40 CAD anyways...

I'm gonna see if I can get the replacement K2006C storage box here in Canada. If not, then I will probably grab a tackle box like this one. Thanks.

Yeah...not worth $40 bucks, but you get the idea. This one holds all reagents, salt kit, Speed Stir, sample bottle, and all necessary accessories. I'm sure you can find something similar up there.

Everything I regularly needed fit in to the K2006 box once I’d chopped the comparator in half. Everything fits better in the K2006C box plus I have a tackle box for the other stuff and still bits a pieces randomly sitting in the cupboards. Of cause the larger bottles wont fit in the 2006 box. I think I saw a 2006C box only on Amazon. You don’t actually need the larger bottles for some of the reagents but getting a small bottle out of the larger box may be tricky but I haven’t tested that.

I'm trying to see if I can find the 2006C box only in Canada, but it might be as expensive as a fricken pelican case :)

Wild West might ship the 2006C box but it looks like it will cost more than a pelican box. It wouldn’t be too hard to make a plastic divider system for a cheaper tackle box.

So I might have some foam cut to fit into a case to store all my testing gear. TOTALLY overkill, but that's me in a nutshell.

So far, here is what I will have planned have room to store in the case. Is there anything else you would put in a box with all the test gear?

6 x 2oz bottles (The 2 FAS/DPD bottles, 2 CYA bottles, 2 extra slots)
12 x 0.75 oz bottles (1 pH, 2 Salt, 3 CH, 3 TA, 3 extra slots)
2 x 10g DPD Powder and scoops
Speed Stir
#9198 sample tube w/ pill
2000 Series Comparator (for pH/CYA)
14ml CYA Squeeze Bottle
10ml/25ml SampleSizer
LSI Whiz Wheel and instruction book

I have a little room left. Anything else?

My new 2006C came with the two 10g DPD powders and since I can only use one at a time I vacuum sealed the second and put it in with my “other stuff”.

With CSI on the App and the old PoolMath page you don’t need the LSI wheel, I’m starting a collection of them and the instruction books that I stuff away with all the other instruction books and manuals.

Yeah makes sense to ditch the LSI wheel.

Here's an approach. Cost about $3.50. Been working fine for about 10 months now. An advantage is that bottles are upright, so no leaks or dropper issues possible.
That looks excellent. I was going to ask @Texas Splash if he’s ever had problems with leaks but I guess not. I’m thinking that the most important ones to keep upright would be the CA and TA indicator dyes although the titratents drop sizes are important.

I had the opposite problem as @AW139 in that I couldn’t get another 2006. I had an order cancelled through eBay and eventually got a 2006C from a local supplier which I think was drop shipped from Phoenix, AZ. Made in Mexico. And just to make everyone else happy with their purchases it was a little north of AU$400 which would be very similar if it were shipped from one of the pool supply places in the US.

I was worried the 2006C would be too big but no. I could probably remove the case and acid demand reagents and put the 9198 sample tube and pill there instead of under the speedstir.

FWIW, the 2006C box fits everything, including the salt test stuff. Speed stir sits on top of the divider, spare vial for salt and the CYA mixer bottle fit below the speed stir. If you can find one, I think it’s worth it if the objective is to have a handy all-in-one case.IMG_0086.jpegIMG_0085.jpeg

Nah. Our TF100 kit has had sideways bottles since ever. They've got sturdy caps.
Yup- Here I am still kicking it old school with the tf100 plano box 😁
My speed stir fits in one of the slots - it stays there when I test.
I 86’d the blue k1000 box - I also don’t keep the salt test in there because I just don’t use it that much. If I had a smaller cya bottle it would easily fit though.
