Still learning seeking advice

Pool has been going along great but weather has been lousey, rain , rain and then more rain, temps barely reach 80 during day and drop to mid 50's at night, I missed 1 day of daily chlorine doseing (yesturday) and now I have algea forming on bottom, though there had been some heavy dirt in spots build up in places - maybe dead algea? is brownish and disperses easyily. I probably have not been running my pump long enough as well Only on for 4 hours during the day with solar cover on to try to keep water temp ready should the weather ever break for a swim day. Had gotten it to 84 2 weeks ago but is down to 76 now. But once a pool has an algea outbreak it has to be slammed correct? I probably need to raise my cya a little but after haveing such a hard time lowering it last year I have been hesitant to raise.

Numbers for daily testing have stayed consistant: Note i have not run every test every day but have kept close tabs on FC

average test past 3 weeks Todays
CYA - 25 (last yrs regent) ------------------------ CYA - 30 (new regent)
FC - 4.5 ------------------------------------------- FC 2.5 - added dailey dose of 10% lc- FC 5
CC - 0 -------------------------------------------- CC - 0.5
PH - 7.2 ------------------------------------------ PH - 7.2
TA - 110-------------------------------------------TA - 100
CH - 100 (opening test)--------------------------CH -( didn't test - vinyl pool)
Temp 80 ------------------------------------------TEMP 76

One day with FC dropped too low would not cause algae to suddenly be visible, it would have been there slowly growing for awhile.

Yes, the solution is to follow the SLAM Process process and get it all eradicated. Then ensure you keep the FC high enough.
