Staying Clean while SWG isn't generating

HELP!!
I have a lovely, sparkling clean pool, after a protracted SLAM, but now I have a bad flow switch on the SWG. I've ordered a replacement, which should arrive in two days--what do I do to keep things stable till then?

Simply switch to bleach. You will have to run the pump a little bit differently but it will not be complicated to switch to bleach and then go right back to SWG when repaired.

Thanks for answering my question. If the FC is currently at 9-10, do I need to add bleach, or do I just keep the pump running and test every day to make sure it doesn't drop below a certain point?

What is your current CYA level?

I had to order more CYA reagent, after the SLAM, so I haven't tested. It was at 60, two days ago. FC was 7, last night, and I'll add chlorine, as needed, today.

So, if CYA is 60, keep FC at 12?

Yup, do that for at least a few days. Does not hurt anything and helps prevent a rebound. Most people rush to end a SLAM and then find themselves with algae few weeks later.
