Starting the process of interviewing PB - Structural Engineer Question

We are in the Denton TX area and have just started the process of interviewing PB in our area. Any tips, suggestions, warnings are always appreciated.

We live near a lake so the soil is not the greatest. Lots of movement. Has anyone dealt with structural engineers for their pool?

We are in the middle of a build to the SE of you. We sit on top of a retaining wall, and had an engineer design the piers as well as make some modifications to the original plans from our builder. It was about $1,000 for the plans, and well worth the investment in my mind. They are a large firm out of firm out of Richardson. Let me know if you want their info.
