I filled my pool with well water. It's crystal clear. I hope to keep it that way. My ph was 7.2. I added 2 cups bleach. I started my pump, it has a built in aerator, and ran it all night. My ph went up to over 9. I'm assuming it was the pump. Is that normal?

Yes, it was the aeration that did it. You only need to run your pump about 4 hours to adequately filter your pool. Just wait and let the pH go down on its own. It'll be fine.

I added 15 oz of Clorox chlorine stabilizer this morning. I hope to have time to test tomorrow.
