Start-up Tech good? - question on new pool

One of the companies bidding on doing our pool renovation mentioned that during startup using this product will greatly minimize the need for brushing down the pool.

Looking for feedback on the product.

Yes, it is a good one to add at start up.

Scott,

The plaster guys used that product, or something just like it, when they plastered my pool and at another pool I had re-plastered.

In both cases, the plaster dust was almost non-existent.

The other three pool companies never mentioned this and want 400+ for pool startup. This guy is a smaller company and said the brushing is not as important with this. Is it possible they use it too but still charge for startup? Just trying to compare quotes.

No one even asked me about it when they used it on my pools. I just "assumed" everyone used it.

I still brushed, but I had very little dust...

I appreciate the information. Of the four bids I have gotten, this guy was the only one that spent time with me - ~2hrs. The others (big names) just blew in, took measurements and blew out only to send quotes back the next day that were 75% accurate.
