So if algae the Vitamin C will do nothing. But it is a test for metal staining.
If you suspect a stain is caused by iron try the Vitamin C test. Place 15 to 20 Vitamin C tablets in a sock and crush them. Hold the sock on the stain for 3 to 5 minutes. If the stain vanishes or lightens then it is iron.
To confirm algae/organic stain, place a trichlor puck on the stain for a few minutes to see if it lightens or removes the stain. If it does then the stain is organic.
Day 7 of Slam and everyday is the same. Consistently drops from 16 ppm to 14 ppm throughout the day and at night. Water is very clear. Do I continue this? Is it normal for this to last over a week? I am running out of testing material lol
