Stains

Hello all
Has been awhile since I’ve been here and today noticed these stains. I used crushed Vit C tablets and a puck and no change.
i did add 2 pucks to a feeder about a month ago while on vacation. The pucks I used had these other ingredients. Do all of them have them now? Another note my husband used an old wire brush while cleaning calcium build up on overflow tiles/ grout, but he has used it sporadically in the past. Could these be rust from bristles as they look orangy brown and they are concentrated by the overflow/ hot tub?

The small, needle-like marks do look like they could be from the old brush - iron. Did the Vitamin C tablets not work on those tiny marks, or was it a different stain?

Yes the needle-like marks and the crushed tabs did not work.

I wonder if they had some copper in them. Do you have any dry acid (aka pH Down)? If so, place some of that in a thin sock or nylon and rub it on the marks.
