My pool was plastered on Monday and i have been noticing some brown spots on it. Pool was filled up in about 30 hours using a garden hose.... This is what i have done so far:

1. Added jacks magenta stuff while fill up
2. Been checking ph daily and adding acid to balance it
3. Been brushing plaster 3+ times a day with a nylon brush.
4. Added some calcium to bring levels to 250
5. Yesterday i have started to add cya slowly to bring level to 30 (from 0), i made sure cya powder was fully diluted before adding, im still trying to disolve about half a pound.
6. Two trichlor tablets today.

I have another bottle of Jacks Magenta stuff (rated for 15k gallons), should I add that?

Those look like organic stains. I would not be hasty at trying to treat them. You don't want to hit new curing plaster with high doses of chlorine. Follow the proper plaster startup procedure and after a few months of curing you can see what works for the stains.

I would not add more Jacks Magenta. The stains do not look like metal stains. Metals stains show as large areas of a different color, Not the brown streaks and small blotches you have.

You can read this but not act on it yet...
