Stains from Clorox pool salt.

I have seen the staining problem about clorox pool salt from various of forum. Unfortunately, our local walmart only carries this clorox brand now. So I have no choice but to give it a try. I used morton salt before, and I always just pour 2 bags on the stairs and leave them there. So I did the same thing with clorox. I put only half a bag in there just for a test, and even push them around a little bit with my pool brush. Guess what, it still stained my stairs. My stairs are brown at some spots! In the future dissolve the salt in a garbage can of water and let the staining debris settle to the bottom before you pour it into the pool.

Powdered vitamin c in a sock erased my iron stain from a piece of fertilizer almost instantaneously.

Or just buy your salt from Lowes or HomeDepot.
