We recently moved into a home with a large inground pool. It had been neglected, uncovered etc for several years.
The inches of algae that were in this pool was unreal.

I got it all cleaned up. Took a little over a month. I'm at my grand finale and about ready to test the water again, balance chemicals etc
This pool has been shocked strongly, algaecide treatments etc....the works. . However there are stains in this pool I cannot get out regardless of how much I brush, shock or vacuum. Here is my progress..... You will see in the photos where I finally have it cleared up, that it still looks like there is a hinge of algae on the walls and floor. While it looks like something that could be vacuumed....it is far more stubborn than you could imagine. The steps are brown and the walls and floor stains appear to be green/brown. What is something I can do for staining when super chlorination fails ?

1. To get good advice, you will need a better test kit
2. Please don't add any more algaecide as they don't do much and usually have copper which can cause staining
