Stain on one tile under the stack stone water fall

Hi all,

I just noticed there is some yellow-brown staining at one tile under the stack stone water fall (see attached pic). Does any one know the reason and how to clean it? I tried to use the brush with chlorine but it does not remove the stains. I use TFTest kits to test the water and the water is in the range.

That looks like rust to me. Try putting a vitamin C tablet on it and see what it does.

That looks like it is in your water as a soluble and then precipitates out. Acid will most likely remove it.

2 parts water and 1 part 31.45% muriatic acid.

I cleaned the stain/rust, and pool builder sent the pool coping guy to look at it. They said it might be caused by some small hole between the stack stone and the tile, water going in and bring the brown things out. Not sure it makes sense, but they did seal the side that above the stain/rust. Let's see if it will come back.

Should I add Jack's Magic for prevention of stain/rust for the pool water?
