I tested the current between the FC +/- and it fluctuate between 0.50 and little over 2, mostly it stays below the 1.0.
Is there a way to test if I did the extra ground correctly?

If you followed the directions, I suspect that you did it correctly.
Check all grounds to make sure that they are good.
Turn off power to the heater and check the resistance between different grounds to see how many ohms of resistance there are.
The flame current is too low, which could be from a weak flame or a bad ground.
Check the gas pressure to make sure that it's good while the heater is on.

I played around with the new ground wire location and now I am getting solid 2.5 - 2.6, and within 10 seconds it starts dropping slowly and shuts off when reaches 0.3 - 0.4.
I checked continuity of ground points earlier, didn't pay attention to ohms resistance, what number am looking for?
Also, is there a particular way to check the gas pressure ?

There's a pressure tap point on the inlet side of the gas valve.
You can see the inlet tap in the picture below.
If you get a manometer, it should come with a brass barbed x 1/8" npt fitting that will screw into the pressure tap port when you remove the plug.
Turn off the gas at the valve outside the heater before removing the pressure tap plug.
See the video for test procedure.
For resistance, you want the ohms as close to zero as possible.

I am guessing we found the issue?
I am getting 6.17 when off, and -1.28 when calling for heat.
What could cuase pressure to drop in a gas line? we installed this gas line about 6 years ago and was working fine until last season.

Sometimes the lines get water in them or corrosion.
Make sure that all valves are on.
Maybe have someone blow out the line.

Thanks, already called my gas contractor (the one who installed the line) will be here in tomorrow morning.
I will post here once we find out the issue, so hopefully it will help someone else.

Have you checked to see if there's a valve at the beginning of the line near the meter?
Yes we do, it's the main for the backyard (BBQ and Pool) we shut it off whenever we close the pool for the season. It's fully open.
Problem Solved !!

Plumber tested the blew and tested lines, they were clean and no leaks. Next he checked the pressure coming from grid, which has dropped to 1 PSI.
We called Gas company and they came in and changed the meter and regulator and a bunch of pipes.
Everything back to Normal now!
