But when i put the same meter in the old sfs it gives the reading of 240That is Out of Range so either you have an open circuit or your meter isn't being used correctly. There are sometimes two possible places to insert your red lead into the meter.

The sensor should be reading 3.8 Mega Ohms at 77 degrees Fahrenheit.
Can your meter read in the megaohm range?

On the multimeter I had horseshoe icon selectedYou can remove the Test Lead Shields to get better contact with the test terminals.
Was the meter set to Continuity or Resistance?
What is the Resistance test range?

It's a dial i can rotate the dialerDid you need to press Select to change from continuity to resistance?
