Hi everyone,

I need to replace a pump motor but not sure which one:

Pump: STA-RITE MAX-E-PRO P6RA6F-206L / Motor 196250
Specs: 208-230/115V / HP 1.5 / SF HP 1.65 / Frame 56Y (not sure if this matters) / 3450 RPM / Single Speed
I attached pics of the motor

I received the following options:
  • Century 1.5 HP Square Flange 56Y Up Rate Motor - B2854
  • Century 1.65 HP Pool Pump Motor, 1 phase, 3600 RPM, 230/115 V, Frame, - HBQ165
  • Century 1.5 HP Square Flange 48Y Up Rate Motor - USQ1152
Outside of the frame size, they look similar... B2854 and Tune Up Kit Sta-Rite Max-E-Pro (Pre February 2015) GOKIT79? Are there better options outside of the recommendations? I heard single speed/phase is no longer supported so will eventually replace it with variable speed...but for now I am broke, so just trying to fix what I have.

Thank you!

Try to install an ECM16SQU, V-Green 165 variable-speed motor. You'll be happier in the long run.
The 56Y frame motor requires the mounting base be modified to fit.
If you must do a single-speed, get a QC1102, full rated 1.65hp motor (will be listed as 1hp.) That's the same motor that came with the pump, just a different number. It is 48Y frame and bolts right up.
