Spots appearing, will not come off with brush

I have spots starting to appear on the floor of my vinyl pool that are not coming off when I brush I first noticed two last week when I brushed and now there are like 10. They seem to be orange/brown in color (it's hard to get a good picture). Any ideas how to clean these and why they are appearing?

Looks like it could have come from a Bobby pin. You can take a vitamin c tablet to it and see if that removes it.

Thanks for responding, but it's not from anything being left in the pool. More of them are appearing.

Probably iron/rust possibly from fertilizer. I get it in my pool as well.

landscapers did just fertilize my yard....that makes sense.
