Spa Drains over a period of 24 hours when Freeze Protection switches between pool and spa mode

I know this topic is well worn, but my Pentair system in freeze protection, while swapping between pool and spa mode every 15 minutes slowly drains the spa over a 24 hour period. I assume there is some loss of water each time it switches and I know there could be a bigger problem to solve. For now, my question is whether I can shut off freeze protection and set up a schedule switching from Pool Mode to Spa Mode to Spillway every 15 minutes to create freeze protection with spillway mode inbetween to keep the spa topped off.

Your EasyTouch4 does not allow enough schedules for you in a day to schedule POOL mode, SPA mode, and SPILLWAY, every 15 minutes for 24 hours.

So, no.

AH . . . I knew there would be a catch

I guess I can go into the screenlogic configuration and turn OFF the freeze protection and manually run the spillway a couple of times a day to refill the spa when I notice it and the put the freeze protection back on.

Would you need to top off the spa more than twice a day?

In the evening for the spa to have enough water to get through the night, and then in the morning if Freeze Protection ran and the water got low.
