Spa coping

We recently finished our pool and there were a few errors along the way, pool builder still working on them. The one that is posing me t biggest problem is the spa was supposed the have an air, rest all the way around the inside, this would have the added effect of separating ones back from the coping which sticks out. Our seat depth is 20 inch and am 6’1. When using the spa the coping nails me right at shoulder blade height. Any thoughts on how to resolve?

Show us some pics of the spa coping problem and maybe someone will have some ideas.

That is a cantilevered deck. I would have those stones removed and cut back so the edge is flush with the side if the spa.

I was thinking same thing, only concern was how to make it blend in with rest of coping?

You have to decide on design versus function and comfort. I see many things that look great and are impractical for day to day use.

If things are notched around the spa so be it. Make it look more sculpted.
