Spa chemicals

Another question.....when I shock my hot tub, do I shock to FC of 10 ppm, regardless of CYA (I thought I read that level somewhere on here) or do I shock based on the FC/CYA chart? Right now my CYA is about 50, so based on the chart, I would shock to FC of 20...Thanks

There is nothing to be gained by obsessing on keeping CC at 0. CC is a natural byproduct of the chlorine doing its job. With a hot tubs small water volume and high bather load you will always have some CC.
