South Florida - New In-ground Large Build

I AM BACK!!!!!

So sorry guys, but i have not had ANY time to do Anything but try to get the pool fired up! I had a bet with my neighbor (a case of Bud Light) that there would be water in it by Memorial Day!.....
I won
Now where did we leave off........of yes - If not for the help of @MyAZPool .......I never would of figured out this mess of electrical work I had to do. But he really, really researched and brought things to my attention that I probably never would of figured out. So again, Thank You, from the bottom of my heart. with that said - I have to apologize for falling off the face of the earth, but a lot of things came my way the last month or so, and I had to adjust. So here we go!!!!
Wow.....my last post was April 11th????? Time to catch up! @kimkats @bdavis466 @tampatommy

Gonna be putting up pictures of progress ..... hope you enjoy - as always.....point out anything you feel is "off"

So, as I mentioned before - MyAZPool and I have been in long, very technical (which most would find boring) conversation in how to wire my pool. I wanted complete control of anything and everything lighting....so i ended up with 2 intellicenters (one main board and one expansion board). This gave me enough circuit breakers for everything pool related, including landscape lighting and it gave me enough circuits to individualize everthing..... all low voltage runs into a BIG J Box as MyAZPool recommended.20190412_154320.jpg

1 Pentair Intellibrite 5G LED
1 Pentair Intellibrite 5 G LED
1 Globrite LED - for the sitting area
2 Globrite LED - Bubblers on sun shelf
3 Magic stream Laminars
1 Landscape Zone - for (3) Pentair Landscape "uplighting"
1 Landscapre Zone - for ground lighting in landscape beds around perimeter of property

Around the same time I started the equipment set..............WOW! was i in for a surprise.........realized I had no clue as to what i was doing!!!!
So I did what any self respecting, owner builder would do....take some time off of it - research ( that means take to @MyAZPool ), drink a beer - and then get 'er done!
Not 100 percent sure I am happy with it, but for now.... she will do.
Suggestions?
Oh....Also had them put final connections to the gas heater, bbq area, and fire bowls20190430_171614.jpg10427820190420_132910.jpg20190420_132857.jpg20190420_101742-2.jpg

Next week or so was Fencing and Landscaping - when I originally did the fence last year, I left the openings to the back yard open. This way i could get "Big" Equipment back there. So now I had to get the gates up in order to get my "child safety" inspection passed - as I was using the fence and not a child fence around pool.

John,
So glad to see "you are back" and all is going as planned. Everything looks GREAT!!! Outstanding use of the Type-T LB Conduit Fittings for the transformer wiring!! The wiring in the Load Centers look great as well.
You said you have water in the pool now? More pics, more pics please :p.... Especially the "technical ones" Can't wait to see the final wiring of the Load Centers with all the automation related components installed.
Thanks for getting us updated and look forward to seeing (and hearing) more.
As always, let me know if I can help answer any questions that might arise.
"It's great to see a plan "come together"!!
r.

Second week in May.....Landscape time!!! I was soooooo tired of all the dirt, dust, grime and everything else - I had to get it done. We knew we wanted some "accent" trees (*ie, palm trees), but everything else we wanted low maintenance and easy to take care of. Soooo, we came up with a "Tropical - Zeroscape" Theme!!!! I like the way that sounds!
The rock is a black slate - but it is actually grey with some browns mixed in. We thought this would give nice contrast to the walnut travertine.....and the "boulders" (which are man-made) brings everything in together nicely. 20190509_152737.jpg

And for the stars of the show ....... 3 beautiful slyvester palms. One centered on the short side of the pool and two evenly space along the long side. Oh yeah - in the corner of the fencing was a nice home for a bottle palm.
Now the plan is this - I already have a 300 watt transformer wired into the intellicenter just for these three trees. They will be lighted by the Pentair Landscape Uplighting.
This way - whatever colors the pool are doing - those 3 lights will be doing it too!
Then I have another transformer to run the other landscape lighting along the ground of the planters....
All controlled by intellicenter.

I don't have a picture of it, but if you look at the above ones you will know what I am talking about.
Along the perimeter of the WHOLE backyard (pool part and side yard part) I ran conduits (5) and a 1" PVC line.
The conduits are for the following:
Gas Tiki Torch Igniters *(future use) - but now all i have to do is pull wires
Gas Fire Pit Igniter - same as above
Speakers - I stubbed up a j-box every 20 feet or so....this way I can place speakers anywhere and every where.
Lighting - Same as speakers
One extra
They all run completely around the back yard and are terminated inside the low voltage J-Box (Big grey box under the automation panels). This way they will be controlled by the intellicenter (except speakers)
