@FloridaGary do you have a picture of how you wired this up? I have the same setup - Sonoff 4CHPro - Black and Decker Pump and the Smart panel for it. Looking to wire up the Sonoff so I can control the speeds of the pump remotely. Just want to make sure I am wiring this thing properly before I start.

Just real experts and pool enthusiasts that volunteer to help pool owners. I've looked at using all of what I call 2nd tier pumps but never used them. What kind of control are you looking to achieve? I believe the B&D pump you are using is programmable with it's internal timer so you can set this to power up with that is set and run as an "on-off" type of automation but if you want to trigger digital input control where your automation system can call a preset speed and run it for a time determined by the automation separately you an adapter like the one shown below.
