Solartouch roof sensor questions

I want to see the pickle jar!
I actually brought your idea up to the pB and he suggested to do the same but with a medicine bottle...

Thank you!

So from the first picture mine is not flat right? I see the wiring portion up in the air.

Ha, I was just teasing. That thing is at the apex of a very tall roof and any pic would have to wait until I have to climb up there again! Hopefully, that'll be never!! ;)

The important question is if it's reading a warmer temp more reresentative of what the panels are feeling. You should be getting a ton of heat out of your panels today. My pool has made it to 88 already today and there is still another 3 hours of sun left on my panels. Might hit 90 today.

Its 87 degrees today in NY, that’s very hot! We had no issues when we had over 83, the pool would get to 88. We have not had 87 degrees yet since we got the panels installe (new build) The sensor is showing 110 today! The pool is already 90.

I need to check it when the weather is in the 70’s to see if it’s getting a better reading, but I am already sure it will!

Thank you for all of your help!

Do you have an EasyTouch? The ET can give you the temp on the roof. It’s buried in the menus. ScreenLogic doesn’t, but the ET does. Might help you in your quest for sensor placement...
