Solar Pool Cover

I have a round AG that I have measured twice @ 29'. I question that size, everything I see is in even numbers, so maybe there is some insight for that as well in this forum.
As for a solar cover they seem to be sold as 28 or 30 feet. Should I be purchasing a 28' and having a 6" circumference exposed with no cover or the 30' and cut it down to fit?

Cutting the cover will void the (already worthless) warranty. Having a 6" gap is really not a huge deal. I'd go slightly smaller than too big. Of course, if you go larger, you could lower the level of the pool a bit and probably have enough cover to "crawl" up the sides....

Welcome to TFP!

I would go with the smaller. Any cover is beneficial from a heat retention standpoint, I don't think you would notice a difference between the slightly undersized and a perfectly sized one.
