solar cover

It shouldn't as long as there isn't any algae growing on it but then the test would reveal that which is probably a good thing.

Back when I had a solar cover it wasn't unusual for dew or a light rain to leave enough of a puddle on the cover to let algae grow. A long handled shop broom, a five gallon bucket with bleach water and a little elbow grease would solve that problem. I didn't have room to pull the cover into the yard so I'd clean it in place, let the bleach water do its thing and just rinse it off into the pool. Add a little extra LC to the pool that night and call it a day.
