Hi everyone,

My pool is located under a very large tree, so I let you imagine the amount of debris i can get per day. We do cover the pool during the week, and remove it on weekends when using the pool. Is there anything I can do when I am out for a few day and the pool is covered, to prevent the algae to develop? Any other tips ?

Algae = not enough chlorine. So my advice is to add more chlorine. Follow the CYA to Chlorine chart and add the target amount of chlorine for your CYA level.

Thanks, Is it fine to leave the cover on for a couple of days straight, and shock the pool as needed while the cover in on ?

The cover being on should not matter. Follow the SLAM process outlines below. A proper SLAM does require daily+ water testing.
